🇪🇺 European values begin with everyday choices: who feels included, whose voice is heard, and who has the opportunity to participate.
On 14 October 2026 at 18:00 CEST, VIZJA University held the online kick-off meeting for EUVIA4PL — EU Values in Action: Inclusive Citizenship in Polish Higher Education. Hosted on Microsoft Teams, the first meeting brought students together to discover the project and its forthcoming learning opportunities.
🎓 Three schools, a shared starting point
The meeting welcomed students from VIZJA University’s School of Humanities and Fine Arts, School of Social Sciences, and School of Business. Bringing different disciplines into the same conversation reflects the project’s central ambition: to connect European values with the experiences and decisions that shape university life.
Project Coordinator Prof. Yan Kapranov introduced the programme, its team, and the six themes that students will explore through winter and summer schools in 2027–2029.
📚 From European values to practical learning
The planned schools will address shared heritage, equal rights, sustainability, accessible education, civic participation, and dialogue across differences. Through these themes, EUVIA4PL aims to help students turn ideas about inclusion and citizenship into practical approaches to learning and participation.
🌱 How can a campus become more sustainable? ⚖️ What does equal participation mean in practice? 💬 How can people work together across differences? These questions will guide the project’s learning journey.
👥 People behind the project
The EUVIA4PL team brings together Yan Kapranov, Olena Pimenowa, Dawid Stadniczeńko, and Serhat Demir. The project also draws on the external expertise of Prof. Olena Semenog of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko, Ukraine, who joined the kick-off meeting.
🤝 Thank you to all students and colleagues who took part. Different disciplines bring different questions—and that is where meaningful dialogue begins.
